NOLA BBQ Shrimp (not really)

This is an incredible new orleans dish that’s super easy to make. We had this dish at Mr.B’s Bistro in the French Quarter, and since then i’ve been reading various recipes to try to identify the key ingredients in this dish.

As delicious as it is, my issue with it is the amount of butter called for in all the recipes. On average recipes ask for 1 stick of butter per 1/2 lb of shrimp, which is just NOT OK with my cooking philosophy. So i experimented a little and came up with this. It’s packed with the right flavour, without the guilt!

The only downside with using 1/8 of the average butter is the lack of sauce. It can be remedied with the use of some stock and corn starch.
